MEET OUR OWNERSHIP
Roxanna Johnson opened Dancin' With Roxie in 2005 after graduating college. The first location was in her hometown of Hampton, Iowa. Roxanna's sister, Richelle Morrissey, joined the business and opened the Ankeny studio. The youngest sister, Reann Noelck, joined the ownership team in 2019 and opened the Iowa Falls location. Their goal has always been to make sure DWR is a caring, loving and positive environment for dancers of all ages, abilities and goals. This year, Roxanna, Richelle and Reann are thrilled to open DWR Waukee in partnership with new owner Brittlyn Taylor!
At Dancin' with Roxie, we take immense pride in being a family-owned dance studio that welcomes individuals from all walks of life into our extended family. Our warm and inviting atmosphere fosters a sense of belonging, where every dancer, whether a beginner or seasoned performer, is embraced as part of our community. We believe in nurturing not only dance skills but also personal connections, creating lasting friendships among students and instructors alike. Together, we celebrate each achievement, big or small, making our studio a place where everyone feels at home and inspired to express themselves through the art of dance.

Richelle Morrisey is the Co-Owner and Creative Director of Dancin’ with Roxie Ankeny and Waukee. Richelle found a passion for dance at a young age and was an original member of the Dancin’ with Roxie Competition Team. Richelle earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management from Iowa State University where she was a member of the nationally ranked Iowa State University Dance Team. In 2011, Richelled was crowned Miss Iowa Teen USA. In 2013, Richelle went on to compete in the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas as Miss Iowa 2013. Richelle has spent the past five years building an incredible dance program in one of the largest growing suburbs in the United States. She, along with her sisters, have trained national award winning athletes and have seen many DWR Alumni to dance at a collegiate level. Richelle has recently become certified in THE GYROTONIC METHOD ®, a program she has brought to the studio. Richelle lives in Ames with her husband, Cory and son Nash. She is thrilled to be growing her family this fall with the addition of Baby girl Morrissey!

Roxanna Johnson is the founder of Dancin’ with Roxie. Roxanna Johnson opened Dancin with Roxie in 2005 after graduating college. The first location was in her hometown, Hampton, Iowa where she was born and raised. In year two of Dancin with Roxie, she opened up the second studio location in Clear Lake, Iowa. In 2015, Roxanna worked with her sister, Richelle to open the third DWR Studio in Ankeny and just last year the two worked with their youngest sister to open their fourth location in Iowa Falls. Roxanna has spent her life dedicated to dancing including being a part of the nationally ranked Iowa State University Dance Team while she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Performing Arts with a Dance Emphasis. Roxanna has built the Dancin’ with Roxie brand and has become well known in the dance community for training well rounded dancers. Under Roxanna’s leadership, Dancin’ with Roxie has earned several national titles over the years and has qualified for the prestigious Dance Worlds for the past 4 seasons. Roxanna credits some of her biggest joys as coming from seeing her DWR Alumni move on to chase their dance dreams–many having gone on to dance collegiately at universities across the nation including Iowa State University, University of Iowa, University of Tennessee, and Grand Canyon University. Roxanna spends her free time with her family and friends–residing in Sheffield, Iowa with her husband, Adam and their children, Kylin and twins, Adra & Emerli.

Reann Noelck is the Co-Owner and Creative Director of Dancin’ with Roxie Iowa Falls. Reann has been surrounded by dance for her entire life–beginning her studies at only age three. As an original member of the Dancin’ With Roxie Competition Team, Reann studied a variety of dance styles perfecting her craft to become a national title holder. Reann graduated from Iowa State University majoring in Child, Adult, and Family Services with an emphasis on children. Following her graduation, Reann served as the head coach for the Hampton-Dumont Dance Team for three years and became an integral part of the team at Dancin’ with Roxie. Reann has served as the Early Education Curriculum Director for DWR since 2018 completely redesigning our recreational classes for children 18 months and older. In 2019, she ventured into ownership alongside her sisters, opening the Iowa Falls Dancin’ with Roxie studio. Early in 2020, Reann was married to her husband, Isaiah. They reside in Hampton, Iowa with their daughter Halston. They’re excited to welcome Baby girl Noelck this May!
Brittlyn Taylor is from Waukee, Iowa, and has been dancing and tumbling since the age of two. Brittlyn has trained in many styles, and has instructed all ages, levels, and styles. She has choreographed many award winning solo, duo/trio, and group dances for dance studios and high school dance teams.
Brittlyn graduated from the University of Iowa with a BFA in Dance and a BS in Sports and Recreation Management. Brittlyn was a four-year letter winner with the University of Iowa Dance Team. She loves teaching and always strives to motivate, develop, and inspire young dancers and can’t wait to pour back into the dance community of Waukee!
Dancin’ with Roxie has become our home away from home and our family we trust. Throughout our journey, DWR staff has met us with continual support that matched our focuses and needs ~ especially when we were unsure ourselves! This supporting environment extends beyond the top level training classes, competition/leadership opportunities, and a space to grow the love of dance. DWR’s excellence is most notably present in the relationships between coaches and dancers, among the dancers themselves, and the entire DWR Community. “Trusting The Process” and committing to DWR has been the greatest decision. Forever Grateful for this place to call Home and these people to call Family!
