All Announcements, News Letters, and statements will be emailed unless noted on the Registration Form Weather- There will be no classes if School is cancelled or let out early. All weather related announcements will be posted on KIMT 3 website. Sometimes they will put them on TV but not always. Each Class can have up to 3 Weather cancellations without making up class. All weather related cancellations past 3 will be made up. Other Cancellations- The Instructor may cancel class in which a mass email will go out along with phone calls. The instructor can cancel classes one time per year for personal reasons without making up class. Breaks- Classes will follow all major school breaks. There will still be class for on teacher-in-service days and other holidays such as Presidents day. Dress Code Any color of dance wear attire is acceptable. Hair must be pulled back and out of the dancer's face for every class. Pony tail, bun, or braids are acceptable. Dance shoes are to be worn in class or during a performance and not outside. Combination Classes - Leotard and tights (not panty hose) are required for classes. Warm ups may be worn but must be taken off after the warm up is over with. Booty shorts, leg warmers, and/or a ballet skirt can be worn throughout the entire class. Ballet, tap, and jazz shoes are required for class. Shoes bought from somewhere other then the studio must be okayed with the instructor. No baggy t-shirts or shorts without tights will be allowed in class. Hip Hop/ Pom - Capri pants or long pants, a form fitting top and jazz shoes are required for class. Point Class - Leotard and tights (not panty hose) are required for classes. Point shoes are required for class. Competition Team - Leotard, tights, and booty shorts only. Required shoes and props will vary from team to team. |
