Parents and Dancers, It has been a great start to our 3rd year. The studio is growing and the students continue to impress me every day. We just finished up with State Solo Contest in Pella this last weekend and everyone competing did great. This competition was through the high schools and those that competed from both Clear Lake and Hampton were Alexis Entner, Richelle Orr, Tori Kalousek, Hailey Huey, Clayton Valesquez, Anne Warwick, and Jenna Kibsgaard. Congratulations to Alexis Entner, Richelle Orr, Hailey Huey, and Clayton Valesquez who all received Division I (Superior) ratings. Thanks for everyone’s patients as the old studio in Hampton gets fixed back up. We have made some changes where we are at now to hopefully make things easier for the dancers to not be distracted. We are asking the parents and other dancers to wait outside of the dance area. Also if you could keep their bags in the waiting area and so they can come back out to you to change shoes that would be great. Please check to make sure your account is current and up to date. All accounts must be current to order costumes and costume ordering is right around the corner. We will begin ordering costumes on December 1st. As soon as I know which costumes will be for each class I will post them in the waiting area. We will also be starting our routines in December and January so it is very important that all dancers are in classes each week. There will be no class the following dates due to Holiday Breaks: November 21st & 22nd -Thanksgiving This Year all of the Winter Parties will be December 13th-19th. Each Student should bring an age appropriate gift of less than $5.00 value. Some parents have asked if it is ok to bring treats to celebrate their dancer’s birthday and I don’t mind helping them hand out treats to the class.
