Welcome to Dancin With Roxie

DWR is a premiere studio for dancers of all ages, abilities, body types, or experience levels, who possess one common ingredient: a love for dance.

If you take dance seriously, this is the studio for you. DWR creates a challenging atmosphere, but keeps the fun and creativity in the curriculum, too. So, it doesn't matter if you feel like you don't have the perfect body, have never danced before, just want to brush up on some moves, want a fun workout, or want to dance professionally, we customize our program to meet your needs.

From beginners to experts, DWR has the experience and expertise to get your moves up to par. We'll take it as far as you want to take it. Whether your budget is modest or significant, we'll make sure your training and experience with us will build skills and talents that last for a lifetime. Our Dance Competition Team is the only one for miles, and we are going places! Two of our recent graduates are currently pursuing professional dance careers. At our most recent competition, all of our dancers walked away with superior ratings.

Ms Roxanna is the owner and creative director for the Dancin' With Roxie studio in both Hampton and Clear Lake. She was born and raised in Hampton, Ia. She starting dancing at the age of three and quickly discovered it was her one true calling. She was on competative teams and won many high point awards in her competative years. Roxanna also attend may workshop in her dance career. She has studio with famous dancer instructors including Jessica Starr, Jo Rowan, and Sarah Jo Fazio.

Roxanna attended North Iowa Area Community College(NIACC) after high school for two years where she recieved her Associates Degree and then continued her education at Iowa State University. GO State!

While at ISU Roxanna was a member of the Iowa State Pom Squad traveling to Shreveport, Louisiana for the Iowa State Bowl Game, Kansas City Big Twleve Tournament, and Datona Beach, Florida for Nationals. Roxanna recieved her Bacholors of Arts degree from Iowa State in Performaing Arts with a Dance Emphasis.

In 2008 Roxanna Johnson choreographed "As Fast As you Can" for Clear Lake dance team and they won Nationals with the routine. Roxanna Johnson is also the Hampton-Dumont High School Dance Team coach and under her direction Clayton Velasquez won the Class II Dance State Champion.

Liz LeFevre grew up in Holden, Massachusetts. She started dancing at the age of 4 with the Karen Jean White School of Dance. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a minor in dance. She moved to Iowa in 2000 where is earn her CPA, and working in public accounting for a number of years before moving into the private sector. She currently is the accountant at First Gabrielson Agency.

This is the second year that has Liz taught the Dancin’ With Roxie -Clear Lake Mini’s Competition team. Liz is beginning her 10th year coaching the Clear Lake High School Dance team, a team that she founded. Her teams have been successful on both the state and national levels. This past winter she received the UPA Americup Coach of the Year- Top Five Award. She continues her education in dance by attending coach’s seminars and conferences.

Liz is a member of Board of Directors of the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association, where is co-heads the mentoring programming. Liz lives in Clear Lake with her husband Jay and their children Emily,6, and Tyler, 4

Richelle is the daughter of Joel and Kim Orr and has been dancing since she was three. She has been dancing competativly for 7 years. She has been a Dancin’ With Roxie teacher for 5 years. Richelle is an accomplished member of the DWR Competition Team. Richelle was a Semi Finalist at the Iowa State Fair Bill Riley Talent Show in 2006 with Hailey Huey and Anna Witt.

Richelle is also actively involved in the Miss Iowa Outstanding Teen Scholarship Program holding the local title of Miss Cedar River's Outstanding Teen in 2008 & Miss Muscatines Outstanding Teen 2009. Richelle was also 2nd runner up in the 2009 Miss Iowa Teen USA competition in Ames.

Richelle is currently attending Iowa State University majoring in Journalism with a minor in Dance. Richelle is a member of the nationaly ranked ISU Dance Team!
